Purpose
This article explains how to make modifications to Skills Notifications.
Audience
Agents and admins who need to create or maintain Skills Notifications.
Prerequisites
- You have a user account with permission to access Skills Settings.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Sign in to the application.
- Navigate to your organization’s URL and authenticate with your credentials.
- Open the Skills area.
From the main navigation, go to Skills → Settings.
3. Click “Notifications"
4. Approval Notifications:
- Sent out when new skills are added with a status of ‘Pending’.
- These notifications can be sent to the Primary Group Manager by checking the ‘Notify Primary Group Manager’ Box.
- You can also enter additional Users names into the user drop down field.
5. Missing Skill Notifications:
- Sent out when missing required Skills are identified.
- The notification is customizable by the organization. Enter your desire message into the text field, then make sure the ‘Use this Notice’ box is checked.
- These notifications can be sent to the Primary Group Manager(s) by checking the ‘Notify Group Management’ Box.
- You can also notify others by entering additional Users names into the ‘Notify’ field.
- Note: A Skill can be identified as missing only if it is marked required within the Skill itself
6. Expiring Skill Notifications:
- Sent out when Skills are identified to be expiring within 6 timeframe options available to you. The options are 180, 90, 60, 30, 14, and 7 days.
- Each notification is customizable by the organization. Enter your desire message into the text field, then make sure the ‘Use this Notice’ box is checked.
- These notifications can be sent to the Primary Group Manager(s) by checking the ‘Notify Group Management’ Box.
- You can also notify others by entering additional Users names into the ‘Notify’ field.
- Note: Expiration notices will only be sent for a Skill that has been identified as required within the Skill itself.
7. Expired Skill Notification:
- Sent out on the day when Skills are identified as officially expired.
- Each notification is customizable by the organization. Enter your desire message into the text field, then make sure the ‘Use this Notice’ box is checked.
- These notifications can be sent to the Primary Group Manager(s) by checking the ‘Notify Group Management’ Box.
- You can also notify others by entering additional Users names into the ‘Notify’ field.
- Note: Expiration notices will only be sent for a Skill that has been identified as required within the Skill itself.
8. Beyond Expiration Notification:
- Sent out weekly after a required skill has expired.
- Note: Expiration notices will only be sent for a Skill that has been identified as required within the Skill itself.
- Each notification is customizable by the organization. Enter your desire message into the text field, then make sure the ‘Use this Notice’ box is checked.
- These notifications can be sent to the Primary Group Manager(s) by checking the ‘Notify Group Management’ Box.
9. Save your changes:
- Click Save Changes at the top of the page. You will see a ‘Settings Updated’ confirmation message after saving your changes.
Troubleshooting
- I can’t see the Settings button: You may lack permissions. Contact an admin.
